Prague is a fairy-tale city
We visited Prague during the Autumn for a long weekend. It started snowing about an hour after we had arrived which covered the ground quite quickly. Our hotel was just outside the centre of Prague so we had to take the local metro train to the historic centre. Walking through the snow covered Old Town was a magical, fairy-tale experience.
I’m glad we visited the city at that time of year. The ambiance of the Old Town’s bars and restaurant was very relaxing and welcoming. We took a boat tour along the River Vltara which gave us a great view of the Old Town and the many impressive buildings along the river. Prague Castle is a complex of beautiful buildings to wander around and gives great views over the river to the city of Prague beyond.
Charles Bridge which crosses the River Vltara is a beautiful ornate medieval bridge. The bridge is lined with statutes, all of which are interesting to look at.
The medieval Astronomical Clock which was completed in 1402, is the oldest astronomical clock still working. It gives an animated hourly show which visitors flock to.
It’s a beautiful city to visit and enjoy roaming around.
