Below are a couple of photos we took at the national fireworks championship http://www.fireworkchampions.co.uk/ which we have attended a couple of times. You can take a picnic and enjoy a lazy afternoon with friends and an evenings entertainment.

Night-time photography in a city like New York, Paris or Rome takes some patience and a little bit of thought. Playing with exposures to get the right balance may take a while or if you’re using a point and shoot camera you may want to experiment more with taking photos from different angles and heights.

The long exposures and camera shakes, you may need a tripod or rest your camera against something.
